What to expect for your appointment
FETCH YOUR APPOINTMENTPet Health Center is committed to providing your pet with the best experience before, during and after your appointment. Here’s what to bring and to expect at your next visit!
What to bring:
- Your cute pups and purritos (aka cats)
- An empty stomach! We give LOTS of treats to make a positive experience and coming hungry only helps!
- A fresh fecal sample. We recommend a fecal sample on all new puppies and kittens as well as annual wellness exams. Here are some tips for collecting a sample at home.
- A urine sample for pets over 7 years for routine screening and for any pets having urinary issues. Here are some tips for collecting a sample at home.
- Any previous records so that we can correctly update your pet’s file.
- Last but not least, text us a picture of your pet so we can upload it to their file! 😀
Checking in:
- Please arrive for your appointment 10-15 minutes early so we can get all the necessary paperwork filled out and check your pet in.
- If you’re a new client, welcome! Please fill out our New client form online.
- Doggos: We will weigh on the scale in the front lobby.
- Purriots: We will weigh in the rooms on a smaller scale.
- All cats need to be in a carrier and all dogs must be on leashes. If you are in need of any of these items let us know and we can provide one for you.
Your pets exam:
A Pet Health Center client service representative will escort you and your pet to an exam room right away where a veterinary technician will take over and ask you all pertinent information about your pet’s visit.
Healthy Patients/Wellness Exams
- Where do you take your pet?
- Boarding, Grooming, Dog Parks?
- If your pet is a cat, are they indoor or outdoor?
- What food does your pet eat?
- Brand, how much and how often?
- What medications is your pet currently taking?
Sick Patients:
- What are the symptoms?
- When did they start?
- Any changes at home?
- Have you given any medications
- After your pet’s exam or treatments, our veterinarian will go over the exam findings.
- Your veterinary technician will follow with any medications and walk you up front
Time to check out!
- Our client service representative will check you out and book any follow-up appointments.
- This is where you can get copies of your pet’s records for any services you may need or we can email them for you.
After the visit:
- Our veterinarian and technicians will follow up with you as needed after illness, treatments, or surgeries.
- You’ll receive a call or text within 48 hours of any diagnostic results not gone over in the room along with any necessary recommendations from the veterinarian.

- Download our PetDesk app to see your pet portal!
- From here you can book appointments, refill medications and have a full medical file on your pet.
